We’re thrilled that during May and June we have the opportunity to share Jesus with people through our next Christianity Explored course. Central to who we are as a church is the mission God has given us to ‘make and mature Christ followers.’
Over the years many in our church have come to know Jesus for themselves through CE or similar courses. They’re a great opportunity to invite others to consider who Jesus is and what He has done.
It’s such an important discovery for people to make that we want to go out of our way to make it easy for people to hear the good news. To that end we’ve had a few ideas:
- Firstly, our next course will be on Sunday evenings from 5pm. This means for most folk it won’t involve heading back out the door after a busy day at work.
- Secondly, we’re committed to offering childcare/sunday school so that looking after little ones won’t limit attendance.
- Thirdly, to cater the event as fully as possible. This means having it over tea time isn’t a genuine issue.
To do this is to dream pretty big; it will be a lot of work. But the Gospel is worth it and our God is big enough to supply in our weakness.
If you’ve got a heart to reach out with Jesus then please consider how you can serve during the 7 week course. It needn’t be every week, but it could be through catering, hosting, befriending or in the Sunday school.
For the remainder of April our Hope Gwendraeth meetings will be focussing on planning, preparing and praying for the course. Please consider joining us every Sunday evening at 5pm in CrossHands cinema and help make Jesus more known.
