What Else?

Ammanford Evangelical Church is so much more than just the meetings that take place. Here’s an overview of the things that happen on a regular basis outside of a Sunday morning. Clicking on the titles will take you to a new page to find out more about each one:

MidWeek Home Groups:

Rooted groups, our midweek Bible studies, are held throughout the week. These are places where relationships can grow and God’s Word can be applied. To find out about joining a group, speak to one of our pastors.

Children and Youth play a big part in the life of our church. We believe that learning about God should be engaging and fun. God is not boring and we don’t want our kids to think that He is! Our program includes all the things kids love – games, crafts, drama and teaching in a fun, informal atmosphere.

On a Sunday we cater for all ages between 6mnths – 14yrs in our numerous crèche and Sunday School classes. During the week there are parent and toddler groups and clubs for older children.

All our volunteers are DBS checked.

On a Friday we run two clubs; “Gwgl” (5-9yrs) and “Gwgl+” (10-14yrs). Both are held in our church building on Wind Street.

As a church in the heart of the Welsh community, Eglwys Efengylaidd Rhydaman, has lots to offer Welsh speakers. Eglwys yng nghadarnle’r Gymraeg yn Sir Gaerfyrddin yw Eglwys Efengylaidd Rhydaman ac mae Cymry Cymraeg a gweithgarwch Cymraeg yn bwysig ynddi.

From a monthly Welsh language service, to a weekly Welsh language home group, you’ll always find a warm Welsh welcome.

Each Sunday Morning we have a team of signers at hand to enable those who are deaf or hard of hearing to enjoy the service. The signing is in British Sign Language.

All aspects of our Sunday services are translated from the singing to the sermon, notices to nonsense and more.

Each month the church hosts a Torch Fellowship Group. The meeting takes place in our Church Building every 1st Saturday of the month between 2:30pm and 4:00pm.

Each week, Tuesday 11:00am – 12:30pm, we host an event called Coffee, Cake and Company. We strive for excellence in all three areas! Consider coming along to join us one week.

Ammanford FoodBank is part of a national network of foodbanks and is housed in our church building. Volunteers seek to provide help for families and individuals in times of crisis. Open every Friday between 10am-12pm.

Hope Gwendraeth:

We understand that there is a world outside the Amman Valley. Hope Gwendraeth is our concerted effort to reach out with the good news about Jesus to our near neighbours in the Cwm Gwendraeth Valley.
